From Ariel Sharon's Autobiography - The Truth Comes Out

Excerpt from page 533 -

... The problem started with our generation. Because we were the sons and daughters of rebels, we had no Judaism in our upbringing whatsoever. The result was that our generation in a way lost its roots, the first to have done so. What did we know about Jewish wisdom? What did we know about Jewish contributions to the world or about the Jewish presence here in Israel? Very little. Were we taught to be proud that we were Jews, descendants of those Jews who through the ages had fought to the death for their beliefs? No, we were not taught these things. Instead, with our generation there was an attempt to create not Jews but New Israeli Men and Women. In the process we were disconnected from those earlier generations whose Jewishness was inscribed in their hearts.

And the outside world saw this too. I remember back in the 195Os and '60s when I was travelling abroad I felt the desire by others to consider me, not as a Jew but as an Israeli, to draw the distinction. You are an Israeli, they seemed to say. They, those people over there with the strange clothes and strange ways—they are Jews. And in a way it felt easy to be accepted like that. But it was also dangerous; it was a signal that we had lost our Jewishness. And I for one, even then, never believed we would really be able to survive here if we were nothing more than Israelis. For our attachment to the land of Israel, our identity with it, comes through our Jewishness. I am a Jew, I thought then, as I think now. That does not mean I am a religious man. I am not. When it comes to practicing Judaism, there is much I do not know. But I do know for certain that above everything I am a Jew and only afterward an Israeli and the rest.

Rantisi's Rant - an insight into how the game is played

From today's Debka.com comes this tidbit of insight. Memorize this Arafatism:

In Gaza, in answer to a question on policy, Hamas operative Mohammed Rantisi, whipped out the late Yasser Arafat’s motto: We shall hold talks as though there is no terror and wage terror as though there are no talks.

Hello? Is anyone listening out there?

Condie's Conundrum about the Hamas Victory

Read Condie Rice's initial remarks about the Hamas victory in the Palestinian elections.

"You can't have one foot in politics and another in terror," US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in response to the apparent Hamas electoral victory on Thursday afternoon. Speaking to the Davos World Economic Forum, Rice interrupted a discussion on democracy in order to deliver the Bush administration's first response to the election upset. The elections, according to Rice, were "peaceful and free of violence, and by all accounts fair. The Palestinian people have voted for change," she said, but added in what may have been a veiled warning to Hamas, "we believe their aspirations for peace remain unchanged."
Now - read the last sentence again. The Palestinian people have voted for change. What kind of change? The platform of Hamas. What is their platform? Nothing less than the physical eradication of Israel off the map. Look at what our NeoCon Sect'y of State says: "We believe their aspirations for peace remain unchanged." What aspirations for peace? Condie spelled it wrong - she must have meant "their aspirations for (every) piece (of Israel) remain unchanged". Condie reveals the persistent blindness of the Bush administration vis-a-vis the larger Muslim (not Islamist) agenda to destroy Israel and the West. What she and they believe is 180 degrees from the reality on the ground, in the mouths of the people, and in the Hamas Charter. Read the Hamas Charter for yourself. Click here.
To make perfectly clear what the Hamas policy is toward Israel, open the Hamas Charter document. Then press cntrl+f on your Windows keyboard, type the word Israel into the Find window and carefully read the context of each statement. It should forever settle what is really at work here. Ms. Rice is wrong - choosing to impose her biased agenda and beliefs on a situation that tells her and the world otherwise.

Why Israel Will NOT Have Recognition from the Muslim World

Munir, a Palestinian in an interview with Haaretz: "We are Muslims... and we vote for Islam because Islam is the solution -- on every level. It's important that you write this down exactly as I say. From a religious perspective, Muslims cannot legitimize a State of Israel in this region. The Islamic movement would lose its identity if it recognized Israel as a state."

Jews Ejected from The Second Holiest Jewish City - Jewish World Doesn't React

Right under our noses, while the global Jewish community frets about minutia, the Israeli government is again ejecting pious Jews from their homes - this time in the ancient city of Chevron (Hebron). This is the town where the Patriarchs are buried, including Avraham (Abraham). We are seeing the wholesale abandonment of historical and biblical claims to the land, in favor of winning approval of the world for "painful concessions". These moves will not bring the hoped for peace and the Palestinians, fueled by major political gains by Hamas, will be emboldened to fire rockets on Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.

By the time the Leftist fools realize the futility of their policy of appeasement, it will be too late.

I encourage you to direct traffic to the website of Israel Reporter to see the still and video images of something happening right now that is just as tragic as the expulsion last summer.
